Mt. Brilliant Farm Acquires New Blood From Ballymacoll Dispersal

Mt. Brilliant farm was able to obtain two lovely fillies from the Ballymacoll dispersal at Tattersalls on December 5.  The fillies, hip #1874, Superioritycomplex and hip #1876 Abingdon will ship stateside in December.  Plans for the two fillies are pending, so stay tuned. The Virginan a valiant runner up at Randwick

The Virginian showed true guts in his runner up effort in the G3 Show County Qlty. Stakes at Randwick.  Always traveling well, the handsome gelding gave tough chase to the winner, Deploy, who set a new course record.  The Virginian is out of Mt. Brilliant’s newly acquire Redwood Dancer.

Hartnell dominant in the G2 P B Lawrence Stakes in Melbourne

Hartnell dominated the solid field of G1 winners in the G2 PB Lawrence Stakes over the weekend in his first time over the course at Caulfield.  Mt. Kookaburra Wins!

Kookaburra broke her maiden Monday night at Mountaineer Casino & Resorts.  The three-year old bay filly (Fastnet Rock – Sail Away Home), trained by Geoff Mulcahy  broke well, was soon in command of the race and was never in doubt.

Final Foal of 2017

Mt. Brilliant has welcomed it’s last foal of the season, a chestnut filly Will Take Charge – Rahy Rose born early on May 24.  The filly will be the last foal for Rahy Rose who has blessed us with 15 foals including the dominant mare Summer Raven.
